The platform where junior 2D animators form crews, build a collective identity and become visible to studios in France, Japan and the United States.
Malt isn't built for you. Fiverr is a race to the bottom. And working alone makes it hard to win a serious client.
And when you finally land a client, you get stuck. How do I invoice? What do I declare? What should I charge? Setting up auto-entrepreneur status takes 15 minutes — we walk you through it.
With a crew, you bring more skills, more credibility and a real professional presence — without waiting ten years.
CVs arrive without context. Portfolios are scattered. Agencies are expensive for short projects.
With Celwork you discover organised crews, with a clear collective portfolio and direct contact. No middleman.
Three steps for animators, three for studios. No friction, no middleman. The crew at the centre, always.
Reel (Vimeo, Instagram, YouTube), specialities (douga, genga, layout, storyboard, compositing), target markets. No re-upload — you link to what already exists.
Freely, with whoever you want, in as many crews as you want.
The whole crew receives the message at the same time.
Filter by speciality, style, market.
Collective portfolio, individual reels, downloadable PDF.
A contact credit (from €60 ex VAT) unlocks a message to the entire crew. No middleman, no commission on whatever happens next.
Organised junior animators, with an identity, complementary skills and a single point of contact. A sample of the crews forming for launch.
Generated automatically, exportable to PDF, shareable in one link. Here's what a studio sees when they discover a crew.
Crew of 4 animators · Angoulême → Tokyo · formed in 2024
Not a jobs marketplace. Not an agency. An infrastructure that makes a junior crew as presentable as an established studio.
A crew pools skills and presents a professional front no junior can offer alone — and that a studio can reach with a single message.
群Built for students and first contracts. Not for ten-year veterans. For studios: exactly where the talent nobody knows how to find actually lives.
新Celwork hosts nothing. Reels stay on Vimeo, Instagram, YouTube or Behance; we aggregate them into a single public page, generate a shareable PDF and provide a direct contact. No lock-in, no toll at every interaction.
印The only place where a crew trained in Angoulême can be visible to a studio in Tokyo or Los Angeles — and where that studio can discover, in French, English or Japanese, animators it would never have run into.
橋We open in waves. France first, then the Japan bridge, then the US. Early signups get priority.
Signups open to animators. First profiles go live.
We support the formation of the first 30 crews — coaching, identity, portfolio.
Public catalogue. Studios discover and contact crews.
First wave of contacts with Tokyo studios via local partnerships.
Los Angeles · New York bridge. Bilingual crews get priority.
Your students graduate with a solid portfolio but no professional network. Celwork helps them group into crews and become visible internationally — no agency, no middleman, no cost for them.
You run a school or animation programme? Let's talk.
Anything else, write to hello@celwork.co. We answer the same day.
For animators: yes, always. Creating a profile, joining a crew, being contacted by studios — all free, no exception, no commission on your contracts. For studios: browsing is free. Waitlist signups before launch (June 2026) get 3 free contacts at launch. After that, each contact costs a credit (from €60 ex VAT). No subscription, no commission on your projects — you pay only for access to the contact, not what happens next. If the crew doesn't reply within 7 days, the credit is refunded.
No. Your reels and pieces live where they already live — Vimeo, Instagram, YouTube, Behance, your own site. Your crew's Celwork page aggregates these links and presents them cleanly, with thumbnails and a single contact. If you don't yet have an online presence, we help you structure a portfolio from your raw material.
You pick your teammates freely. You can create multiple crews (for instance one 'production' crew and one 'commercial' crew), and each crew manages its own identity, portfolio and rates.
The crew runs itself. Celwork doesn't get involved in internal decisions. A crew can disband or reorganise at any time; the individual profiles remain.
The contract is between you (or your crew) and the studio. You invoice with your auto-entrepreneur status — Celwork provides the invoice template and the contract-type model. Later, for crews that bill as a collective entity, we'll work with portage salarial and CAE (activity cooperatives) partners. But to start, auto-entrepreneur is enough.
Setting up auto-entrepreneur status is free and takes 15 minutes on urssaf.fr. It's the simplest status to start with and is more than enough for your first contract. We walk you through it step by step — creating the status, invoice template, declaring revenue, applicable rate, setting your price. Paperwork should not be the thing that blocks you.
Yes. We accept students from their third year onwards. We even have partnerships with several schools to make the school → professional life transition smoother.
We build local partnerships in Tokyo and Los Angeles with relays (alumni, cultural agents, festivals). We also index in Japanese and English. Language is not a barrier.
Malt targets seniors with 5+ years of experience and thinks in terms of individual freelancing. Behance is a portfolio, not a matchmaking platform. Celwork is built for juniors organising into crews — it's a different format.
We're aiming for 30 crews at the June 2026 opening, selected from early signups to ensure the quality of the starting catalogue.
We're building Celwork with the animators who trust us first. Sign up for early access, build your profile and form your first crew.
Browse the crews, see the full pages, download the PDF briefs — no signup required.
For any waitlist signup before launch (June 2026). After that, from €60 ex VAT per crew contacted. One credit = one message to the whole crew. No response in 7 days, credit refunded.
Volume packs at launch. Indicative pricing, may change.
Celwork opens to studios in June 2026. Drop your email to be among the first to discover available crews — a direct channel, no middleman.
